100 Days of SwiftUI
2026-05-16
WHOOPS I did the quiz and the challenge yesterday so I won’t be making “lecture” notes today.
This might be a good time to talk about how it’s going. I’m not a programmer, but I enjoy puzzles and playing around on computers. Plus, as I am unemployed and not having much luck in the job search, I like having a bit of structure to my day otherwise I would lie in bed in the dark all day.
It helps that Bill is also doing the course so we can talk about it. He has tons more experience than I do with programming, but Swift and SwiftUI are fairly new to him.
(I took Pascal and FORTRAN in college; taught myself HTML, and have messed some with CSS, Ruby, R, and Microsoft Powerx stuff. I can also make Excel do stuff if it doesn’t require macros.)
The apps we’re making are goofy unpolished little things, but they’re apps. This is new to me, and kinda heady. I still don’t feel like I understand the rules about what goes above the body of a ContentView but I’m sure with practice I will.
So that’s what I’ll be doing. Practicing.
